Make Millions in Sales with Your Writing

Believe it or not, if you can improve your writing ability you can skyrocket your businesses sales.

It doesn’t matter what business you have or where your business is based.

The ability to write compelling text that makes people want to buy what you have to sell is an under rated superpower.

This may come as a surprise to you, but most people, although they can write, cannot write well. Most writing is at a primary school level and nicely put just comes across as a load of word vomit on a page.

If you cannot grab and hold people’s attention, then you could have the best product or service in the world, and no one will ever find out about it. The effect of social media has shortened people’s attention spans, which means your writing needs to be more compelling than ever.

All is not bad. You don’t have to be able to write the next great novel in order to compel your audience. You just have to hone in on some of the basics.

The Simple Hack That Will Make You a World Class Writer

Most writing is people regurgitating absolutely everything there is about a certain topic. Not to mention it feeling as if a thesaurus was injected into it. That or it sounds as if AI had a field day.

This is the wrong way to go about your writing.

When I said back to the basics, I meant in terms of keeping things simple.

Stop overcomplicating everything. You really don’t need to be using super long words or complex sentences. Contrary to what I said earlier, people want to read text that is a primary school level in terms of complexity.

Whether you are writing a social media post, sending an email blast, or touching up your website. This should be your sole focus for all writing. Keep it simple.

We aren’t secondary school English teachers here. Let’s leave the fancy smancy sentence structures to those at school or writing dissertations for their degree.

You are a business owner. Your one sole purpose for you writing should be to make people want to buy what you have on offer. Your goal is sales, not writing awards.

How to Have People Glued to the Page

You cannot start off your writing any old way. There must be some driving factor that makes people want to find out more. You want people to be on the edge of their seats in an anticipation of what you have to say next.

You need a strong opener. A way to get people glued to the page wanting more.

Otherwise, you could have the most interesting and exciting information, but no one will ever know if they don’t make it past the first line.

You probably see multiple websites or social media posts on a daily basis that you don’t bother reading properly.

No one likes to sit there and read massive paragraphs of text. We don’t like having to wade through all that information to get the answers we are looking for. At best you will have a quick scroll through to try see if anything stands out.

The funny thing is, we are first to moan or breath that sigh of “I’m not reading that” when coming across someone else’s Tolkien sized text passages. Yet, we go and do the same for our own content.

Just look at this article.

It is nicely split up into sections which consist of short and easy to read sentences. There are also no super long or fancy words. Just everyday speech.

Is Long Form Content Dead?

Can you write longer passages of text and still keep an audience interested? Of course you can.

You want to show people that you are the expert of your field, but you want to do so in a succinct and to the point way.

We have touched on the importance of your writing’s structure and how making it simple for all is best you.

You need variety in your writing. It is the same as when you are speaking. If it is monotone, you won’t be capturing anyone’s attention.

The aim should be to have people read your writing and breath a sigh of relief that they can enjoy the read and get the outcome they are looking for.
